How about a feature that installs a bootable version on a USB drive or memory card?

Just in case the drive we install this program on is the drive that fails, it'd be nice to have a backup on a flash drive.

Recover files from a specific directory structure rather than scanning the whole drive

It would be good to be able to select to recover files from a particular directory or tree to cut down processing time. For example you know that your photos have been deleted from your photos directory and it is those that you want to recover....

on first load a pop up that gives a window explaining the options given on the first page, to me it was obvious, but to a first time newer user it could be confusing

Uninstall previous versions automatically

Many (most) GAOTD users know something about computers. Many who delete files and need to recover them know nothing about computers. A feature that would tell them "Previous version of this software is found on this computer, uninstall? Yes/no"...

automatically separate corrupt recovered files and files which are still able to be opened.

That way people will know in the results which recovered files are corrupt and not corrupt.

Support non windows disk formats such as Linux

At present you only can recover Windows style file systems, however it would be a far more valuable product if it supported other formats such as Linux (various formats)

See an Auto-Detect function built in that would scan automatically during start-up and Show you available files to Recover.

This would give an option to less savvy computer people to complete file recovery in a lot less steps.

Ok, you may not post this due to your policy of activating software the same day. This is an altogether different idea though. It is possible to install this program twice on your computer. Copy the program to stick, install from stick to stick...

Ability to be put on a flashdrive.

This would really help, if the hard drive itself had problems, this program itself might break.

have a 'protect' feature, so once installed it takes account of all files and folders, and can easily and automatically fix files if any problems occur...this would also be benificial if the program detects potential problems before they occur.

run the program from my USB2 flash drive to avoid overwrighting date on the computer I am trying to recover data from.

I offer free computer support and am often asked to hep people fix their computers. Having the program on a USB drive would facilitate my abilitis to provide FREE help.

I like that this program allows drive selection. I will use a external enclosure to attach a sick drive to my bench machine. It should be easy to select that external drive and scan it. Good Program!

Plaese clarify if Easeus neeeds the OS

when recovering files, need the ability to refresh the directory tree to see any changes.

When I created a new folder for recovered files, it didn't show up in the destination dir tree until I clicked away and returned to that drive/dir.

have a way to minimize the Intelligent Searching window/dialog.

The Intelligent Search is lengthy, but its window/dialog cannot minimize due to the modal nature of the dialog. It really needs a way to minimize so that other things can be done during the delay.
